kolab packages to Debian Sarge packages howto

This is just a note, of an investigation whether the kolab openpkg packages are present in or can be mapped to Debian Sarge.

Target distribution is: Debian Sarge.

Perl packages needed by kolab

libconvert-asn1-perl - Replacement for Convert::BER module

Let's assume that their versions are okay...

Conclusion

It seems that most of the required packages by the kolab project are availabe on Debian Sarge. The missing ones are: fsl and dcron. The latest version of cyrus22-imapd can be found at [2]

The impact of the package fsl should be investigated.

Are the changes made to postfix, imapd, amavisd and apache applied upstream? More information about this on the Kolab-major-app-patches wiki page.

Should the package pcre be updated in Debian Sarge, or are the Debian Sarge versions good enough?
