Summaries of the status of the recently built KDEPIM Enterprise packages:
KDEPIM Enterprise 4 for Debian Lenny
KDEPIM Enterprise 3.5 for Debian Etch
APT Repository
The newest of the automatically built packages are available from files.kolab.org.
Warning: These packages potentially contain malicious code, so they should only be used for development testing purposes. The packages are automatically built from SVN development snapshots and have seen no quality-control whatsoever.
The reason is the build and development process: between drop candidates developers are free to completely destroy the code base to get it back for the weekly drop candidate. These intermediate versions will also automatically be built and made available on files.kolab.org.
In addition KDE offers write access to their source repository for a lot of people, if someone checks in malicious code, it will be automatically build and published within the snapshots. So check the difference to the last trusted version before using a snapshot. For the drop candidates, developers are doing this, so the weekly drop candidates are a lot better.
APT Configuration
To install the packages with apt-get, add the following lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
KDEPIM Enterprise 4 for Debian Lenny
deb http://files.kolab.org/apt/snapshots lenny kdepim-enterprise4
KDEPIM Enterprise 3.5 for Debian Etch
deb http://files.kolab.org/apt/snapshots etch kdepim-enterprise35 deb http://apt.intevation.org etch unstable
The enterprise35 packages need some crpytography packages from apt.intevation.org.
