The question

Does anyone think we need a way to sync wireless PDA's (which have internet access either via GSM/GPRS or 802.11b. There is no use to say that it can sync to KMail via KPilot. This requires a physical sync with a client computer. When will PDA's be able to sync directly to the server using iCal interfaces? (note that there are several cellphones which also use iCal to sync to calendaring services) Sorry if this is the wrong place to put it :( But i don't know where else to post. There is a HUGE market for this because wireless PDA's have injected new life into the PDA market. This market is exploding because of the ability for executives and business travelers to have up to the minute calendaring on their handheald device without having to be in the office or without having to carry around a laptop.

Palm

With Kontact, you can sync a palm through th usual way (USB, serial, IR).

Sync4J

There has been discussion on the horde sync list of using the latest CVS build of horde with the sync4j pocketpc client on an iPaq. This is reported to work with some small bugs. I'm going to try this tomorrow and report back here.
