From Bootstrapping to Operation
Note: The errors below have occurred but did not occur after a second install from scratch. Though, Henning Burow has also confirmed that this error may occur. The cause to this error is still unclear.
- (Debian Sarge) I got a notorious error message from amavisd, saying that "No $LOGFILE is specified (and not logging via syslog) at /kolab/sbin/amavisd line 1050." Remedy: In file "/kolab/etc/amavisd/amavisd.conf" change the entry "$DO_SYSLOG" from 0 (zero) to 1
- (Debian Sarge) After running successfully through the bootstrap process, you're advised to point your browser to the URL "https://machinename/admin/" This will not work as the webserver is not at all configured. This is a downgrade compared to the Beta3 sources. I uncommented the include of apache.vhost in "/kolab/etc/apache/apache.conf" and set up my own definition of virtual web servers. For convenience there should be at least a basic, running version, to be adapted by advanced users.
