How does this work with multiple users with multiple calendars?

This does not seem correct. A couple questions:

1) The synckolab already synchronizes the calendar...so why do this? The only thing I can't see in the synchronized calendar that would be useful is free/busy information.

2) If you are using Kontact and Thunderbird, will changes made in contact reflect in this calendar? The manual copy of the calendar file does not seem like to proper way to do things...not only that, but I have a fresh install of kolab 2.1 and there is no directory structure under the /home folder and no .ics files existing. How is this being created?
